There are three packages available for Santa photos. The first is $20 - this includes 1 x 5x7" print & 4 x wallet prints. The next package is $25 - Which is for 10 x Flat Christmas Cards and envelopes. The last is $35 and gives you all of the above at a $10 saving - so you get 1 x 5x7" print, 4 x wallet prints & 10 x Flat Christmas Cards with envelopes.

If you book and pay ahead you get a $5 discount off of the above packages.

It's a dogs world!

World's most expensive kennel: Great Dane owner shells out £250,000 (AU$595,000) for doghouse complete with spa and plasma TV

They must have taken out a mortgage at Barklays.

How else could a pair of Great Danes get their paws on this £250,000 kennel?

The bespoke doghouse is being built on an exclusive estate near Cirencester in Gloucestershire.

Inside, the dogs will sleep on sheepskin-lined, temperature-controlled beds, soothe their aches in an 18in-deep spa, howl along to a £150,000 sound system and watch dog-friendly programmes on a 52-inch plasma TV.

Automatic dispensers will ensure that chilled, filtered water and deluxe dry food are always available.

The two dogs will each have a bedroom with large windows which overlook their own private playground. 'Dog-vision' webcams allow their owner to monitor their activity 24 hours a day, while climate control ensures they are kept warm.

There will be a sophisticated retina scanner installed at the front door to stop any other dogs getting in - something the Great Danes may view as a bit of a party pooper.

Plans for the kennel, and for an adjoining house for the dogs' mistress, have been approved and building work is to begin at the Lower Mill Estate in the spring.

The owner of the estate said the house and kennel were designed to the specifications of a female surgeon who wishes to remain anonymous.

Jeremy Paxton said: 'Most houses are built with human specifics in mind and animals fit in around that - but this is the other way round.

'It's a very interesting house with fabulous architecture and unusual requirements.

'There's even a spa bath with a saline treatment built in because it's good for their coats.'

If you'd rather just show up on the day we are currently booked up until 2:30pm so we would recommend coming after that time so you don't have to wait too long!

Packages on the day start at $20 for a 5x7" print and 4 wallet prints. If you pay ahead you save $5, so that package is only $15.

Santa Paws is on his way......

Welcome to the Bark Avenue blog!

We have lots going on behind the scenes right now. The online Christmas shop is nearly ready for it's big launch day so stay tuned. If you're signed up to the newsletter you will get first look!

Christmas is in full swing in store at Bark Avenue. Both stores are fully stocked with Christmas goodies to spoil your pets with. New stock is arriving weekly up until Christmas, so feel free to drop by with your pets for a look around. You don't want to miss out!

For the third year in a row we are running our annual Santa Paws Photos down at the Brighton store. Santa will be in store on Sunday the 30th of November from 12 to 4pm. All furry (and non furry) children are welcome to come and sit on Santa Paw's lap for a cute Christmas photo.

Bookings are advised, and if you pay in advance, you get 2007 prices. This gives you a savings of $5 off per package.
